Another week and another big play from Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. The 2013 third-round pick came up big in Sunday's preseason game against the Carolina Panthers, catching four passes for 63 yards, one of which was a 43-yard touchdown from quarterback Aaron Murray.

Kelce also caught all four of the passes thrown his way. He was the team’s leading receiver, a title he also held after the preseason opener. In that game, Kelce caught two of the three passes thrown his way, putting up 73 yards, 69 of which came on a single touchdown pass. This is in limited time. He’s finding a way to get open and make big plays, and is a notable physical specimen.
Fantasy Impact: In other words, Kelce could be in line for big things. He played in just one game as a rookie before sustaining a serious knee injury that forced him out of the remainder of the season. But now he’s ready to take on a large role with the offense, and head coach Andy Reid knows a thing or two about coaching tight ends. It’s unclear how the depth chart is going to look at the position so it’s hard to outright recommend Kelce as your TE1, but fantasy owners should definitely keep him in mind.
