Carolina Panthers rookie wide receiver Kelvin Benjamin impressed in training camp and now he's impressing in the preseason. The first-round pick saw a few passes go his way on Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs, and he made the most of them.
Kelvin Benjamin continues to impress in preseason; fantasy value on the rise
Kelvin Benjamin looked solid in the preseason matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs. We break down the fantasy implications.

Benjamin caught two passes for 41 yards, including a long of 24 yards. He was targeted at least two more times than that, though, and it's worth noting that one of the passes that he wasn't able to haul in was an overthrow from quarterback Cam Newton that was essentially a guaranteed touchdown. Benjamin was open a lot when he was on the field, always threatening to change the game big time.
In the preseason opener against the Buffalo Bills, Benjamin caught one pass: a 29-yard touchdown.
Fantasy Impact: Benjamin, as a rookie, is a wild card as far as fantasy owners are concerned. But he’s done all the right things in camp and now he’s doing all the right things in practice. He’s getting open, he’s not dropping passes and he’s shown that his quarterback has faith in him to make catches. There’s no reason to suspect he won’t be a solid fantasy option this year.
