New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski continues to make progress in his recovery from knee surgery, being upgraded to 11-on-11 drills in the team's practice on Monday.
Rob Gronkowski participates in 11-on-11 drills, getting closer to fantasy return
Gronkowski hopes to be ready for Week 1. We break down the fantasy implications.

The Patriots are still not confirming whether Gronkwoski will be ready for the regular season. He is not playing in any preseason games. Gronkowski says he wants to play in all 16 games, something he hasn’t accomplished since the 2011 season. He broke his arm in 2012 and his 2013 season ended early with a torn ACL and MCL.
Fantasy impact: The Patriots are being their usual coy selves with Gronk’s status. We probably won’t know for sure if he will play in Week 1 until the inactive list is released an hour before kickoff. Gronk is a weekly difference-maker at the thinnest position in fantasy, so he shouldn’t fall past the second round in standard drafts. It’s just a matter of when he will be ready, and it’s an encouraging sign that he avoided the PUP list.
