Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Blake Bortles saw a couple snaps with the first team on Monday and his workload increase on Tuesday. Bortles managed seven or eight snaps with the first team during Tuesday's practice session, according to Ryan O'Halloran of the Florida Times-Union. That number comes from head coach Gus Bradley, who originally suggested that Bortles wouldn't get any playing time with starters throughout camp.
Blake Bortles gets more time with starters; not yet a fantasy option
Blake Bortles spent some time with the starters at practice on Monday and Tuesday. We break down the fantasy implications.

The Jaguars were hoping to avoid all talk about a quarterback competition and had planned to sit Bortles behind Chad Henne for his entire rookie season. But that was before Bortles looked really good in the preseason. Bortles isn't getting a ton of time with starters at this point, but combined with his time in preseason games, Bradley is likely getting just enough information to know if and when he should turn to Bortles this season.
Fantasy Impact: Bortles certainly inspires more confidence than Henne does, at least in the long run. Henne isn’t a fantasy option at this point, but some day Bortles might develop into one. Obviously, taking seven or eight snaps with the first team in practice isn’t going to have us recommending you drop everything and draft Bortles by any stretch of the imagination but he’s firmly a player to pay attention to going forward.
