Michael Crabtree admits he wasn’t healthy; fantasy value should increase for 2014
The 49ers’ go-to possession receiver says he wasn’t 100 percent last year after returning from an Achilles injury. We break down the fantasy implications.

Fantasy Impact: Ever since he was drafted, Crabtree has been touted as a receiver who had the talent and ability necessary to become a stud. Last year his injury trouble prevented him from breaking out, and in years past Alex Smith proved to be too conservative at quarterback for a player like Crabtree.
Crabtree put together a strong 2012 season, but the Achilles injury cost him a strong follow-up campaign. He has had the offseason to rest and will finally be able to hook up with Colin Kaepernick for a full season; he could explode this year.
Fantasy owners can typically get away with picking Crabtree in the fourth or fifth round of drafts this season, which could mean a fantastic return on investment in 2014.
