Philadelphia Eagles running back Chris Polk has been out for the majority of training camp with a hamstring issue, and we now know the extent of his injury. Polk confirmed that he suffered a Grade 2 tear of the hamstring, but he hopes to return to practice sometime next week.
Chris Polk suffers hamstring tear, off the fantasy radar
Polk will be out with a hamstring tear for a while and his roster spot could be in jeopardy. We break down the fantasy implications.

Polk was set to be the primary backup to LeSean McCoy, but it appears the Eagles are altering their plans, acquiring Kenjon Barner from the Carolina Panthers on Tuesday. Polk had his moments in limited action last year, rushing for 98 yards and three touchdowns on just 11 carries while contributing on special teams.
Fantasy impact: With Barner in the fold, Polk’s roster spot could be in jeopardy. He drew some minor fantasy intrigue as McCoy’s handcuff, but that doesn’t look like it’s going to happen now. The Eagles could end up stashing him on the PUP list or injured reserve if he can’t get on the field soon. Either way, fantasy owners can safely leave him alone.
