St. Louis Rams running back Isaiah Pead has been waived by the club after suffering a torn ACL in Saturday's game against the Green Bay Packers, according to the team's official Twitter account.
Isaiah Pead waived by Rams, fantasy football season over
The Rams running back tore his ACL on Saturday and has been waived by the team. We break down the fantasy implications.

Fantasy Impact: In 10 appearances last season, Pead ran for 21 yards on just 7 rush attempts. Going into last season, he and former teammate Daryl Richardson both had opportunities to strut their stuff, but Zac Stacy surprised fantasy owners by stealing the workhorse role from both backs.
If Pead isn’t claimed by another team on the waiver wire, the Rams will retain his rights. That said, a torn ACL is a season-ending injury, so even if Pead is still employed by the Rams, there’s almost no chance he plays in 2014.
His absence from the lineup only further cements Stacy’s position as the team’s top rusher. With Richardson now playing for the New York Jets, teammate Benny Cunningham will take over sole possession of the change-of-pace role in the Rams’ backfield.
