If you were anticipating growth out of the New York Giants tight end position, prepare to be disappointed. There's simply not a lot going on there, and nobody is quite sure how the depth at the position will shake out. Head coach Tom Coughlin has been particularly unhelpful on the matter, saying that all of the tight ends on the roster have "contributed," and that the Giants will "keep asking them to do that," according to Jordan Raanan of NJ.com.
Larry Donnell the front-runner to start for Giants at TE; fantasy value extremely low
The New York Giants don’t have many inspiring options at the tight end position. We break down the fantasy implications.

Larry Donnell, Daniel Fells, Kellen Davis, Adrien Robinson and Jerome Cunningham comprise the list of healthy tight ends on the Giants roster. None of them inspire a whole lot of confidence, and it would be surprising if someone other than a die-hard Giants fan could name something specific about any of them.
Donnell is expected to claim the starting job when the regular season gets underway. He’s been receiving the bulk of the first-team snaps in practice and the preseason, though the Giants insist the position is unsettled.
Fantasy Impact: Things can change between now and the start of the regular season, but it really wouldn’t change the outlook as far as New York tight ends are concerned: None of them are good fantasy options. Donnell has three career receptions and was undrafted in 2012. He has some potential, but he’s an average athlete. The Giants don’t have better options, so fantasy owners hoping for a Giants tight end -- well, don’t.
