Kansas City Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles (foot) practiced with the team's second unit on Thursday after missing last week's preseason game against the Carolina Panthers, according to a report by Randy Covitz. Charles hurt himself off the field, and the injury isn't considered anything serious.
Jamaal Charles returns to practice Thursday; fantasy stud status unchanged
The Chiefs running back and best offensive weapon returned to practice Thursday after resting a foot injury. We break down the fantasy implications.

Fantasy Impact: Charles led all running backs in 2013 with 19 total touchdowns. He also finished with an outstanding 1,980 yards from scrimmage. Any way fantasy owners choose to look at it, 2013 was a career year for the catalyst of the Chiefs offense.
With a steady Alex Smith at quarterback and a group of receivers that isn't necessarily going to produce a truly elite fantasy option, Charles is a great bet to produce more big numbers in 2014.
However, topping 19 touchdowns in a year is a lot to ask for of any offensive player, so to expect Charles to put together monster games at the same pace this season as he did last year is unrealistic. Fantasy owners will still rightfully draft him as a top pick regardless, and he should be good to go for Week 1.
