New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham is not in action for Friday's preseason game against the New York Jets. Beckham missed most of training camp with a hamstring injury, briefly returned to practice and then suffered a setback on Tuesday. Actually, the Giants have said multiple times that they aren't calling this a "setback," with Tom Coughlin saying that Beckham was resting at one point.
Odell Beckham inactive Friday; low fantasy value for the injured receiver
Odell Beckham has barely practiced and won’t be active for Friday’s preseason game. We break down the fantasy implications.

Given that Beckham missed most of the preseason to that point, it’s hard to imagine him needing just rest. Whatever the case, it’s not surprising to see the rookie first-round pick inactive for Friday’s game, but there is an interesting report from Ralph Vacchiano of the New York Daily News. He says that Beckham “looks like someone healthy enough to return to practice next week.”
Fantasy Impact: At this point, it's unclear if Beckham would return to practice next week or if the Giants would be extra cautious to keep him out. Beckham is a rookie and needs the practice time, but the fourth preseason game is typically the least-important of the bunch, so if he has to miss that one too, it wouldn't be a huge deal. That's especially so given that he wouldn't get any reps with Eli Manning, since the starters generally don't play much during the preseason finale.
