Denver Broncos wide receiver Wes Welker is already back to work following his concussion. He hasn't been cleared for contact or anything, but he's "in the exercise mode," according to head coach John Fox, via the team's director of media relations Patrick Smyth. Welker sustained his third concussion in 10 months in the team's third preseason game.
Wes Welker already in ‘exercise mode’ following concussion; promising sign for fantasy owners
Welker is back exercising and working out following his concussion. We break down the fantasy implications.

Players who sustain as many concussions as Welker generally call it quits by this point. But Welker has not been considering retirement, according to Lindsay Jones of USA Today. That also comes from Fox, who said that retirement talk “has not been brought up at all,” and that Welker is “feeling good.” It’s unclear when he’ll be able to return -- there’s a lot of tests he has to pass before he’s cleared to play.
Fantasy Impact: Any receiver wearing a Broncos uniform is a desirable fantasy option. Welker has been injured off and on in recent years and fantasy owners who drafted him likely did so knowing this. This concussion is definitely a concern, though the news that he’s already working out has to be encouraging for those depending on Welker this year. Any talk about his potential availability for Week 1 would be entirely rooted in speculation at this point.
