After sitting out most of August, Miami Dolphins running back Daniel Thomas is expected to play in Thursday's preseason finale against the St. Louis Rams.
Daniel Thomas to play in Thursday’s preseason game, last chance to have any fantasy relevance
Daniel Thomas is on the roster bubble and will have one final chance to impress the Dolphins on Thursday. We break down the fantasy implications.

Thomas suffered a hamstring injury early on in training camp and hasn't been practicing since then. Once one of Miami's primary backfield options, Thomas has fallen out of favor with new offensive coordinator Bill Lazor and finds himself on the roster bubble. Thomas rushed for 406 yards on 109 carries and scored six total touchdowns in 2013 while splitting time with Lamar Miller.
Fantasy impact: When Mike Sherman left, so did one of Thomas' biggest supporters. The Dolphins further marginalized him by signing Knowshon Moreno, who will now be sharing carries with Miller. An uninspiring fantasy option through his first three years, Thomas is undraftable in 2014. He could find himself on the chopping block if he doesn't impress on Thursday. Thomas, Damien Williams and Orleans Darkwa are all competing to be the No. 3 back behind Miller and Moreno.
