Green Bay Packers running back Eddie Lacy took the fantasy world by storm in his first year. While Aaron Rodgers missed time with a broken collarbone, Lacy carried the Packers offense on his back, rushing for 1,178 yards and 11 touchdowns on his way to winning Offensive Rookie of the Year.
Fantasy stud Eddie Lacy could lead league in yards, says Packers coach
The Packers are so high on Eddie Lacy his running back coach thinks he can lead the league in total yards this season. We break down the fantasy implications.

This year, the Packers have even bigger things in store. Running backs coach Sam Gash believes that Lacy can lead the league in both rushing and total yards in his second season. From the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel:
“Without a doubt,” Sam Gash, the team’s running backs coach, said Monday. “He has the capability of being the leading rusher and maybe even combined yards if he catches a lot of balls. I absolutely do think that.
“I think he’s a bell cow. He’s a big guy, and he’s physical.”
Fantasy impact: Bold coaching predictions are nothing new this time of year, but Lacy certainly has the talent and workload to pull it off. In an age where running back committees are becoming the norm, Lacy is a true three-down back, and a healthy Rodgers will be more than enough to keep defenses from stacking the box. He’s also no slouch in the passing game, reeling in 35 catches for 257 yards last year.
In limited preseason action, Lacy picked up right where he left off, rushing for 61 yards and a touchdown on just 11 carries. One of the hottest commodities in fantasy football right now, he should go in the top five in nearly every draft format.
