Cleveland Browns tight end Jordan Cameron was already a player to watch before his teammate, wide receiver Josh Gordon, was denied his appeal and suspended for an entire year on Wednesday. After said suspension, Cameron is essentially the top receiving option on the roster, and should be primed for his biggest season yet.
Jordan Cameron will take on larger role with Josh Gordon out; high fantasy value
Jordan Cameron was already poised for a big year, and now he’s the top target in Cleveland. We break down the fantasy implications.

Cameron put up over 200 yards when Gordon was out of the lineup last season, and he finished the year with 80 receptions for 917 yards and seven touchdowns over 15 games. He saw 117 total targets and now will probably see even more. In fact, Cameron will be “forced into a much large role” this season given Gordon’s absence, according to Brian Dulik of the Chronicle-Telegram.
Fantasy Impact: After Gordon, there's Miles Austin, Nate Burleson, Andrew Hawkins and not much else. Cameron is the best receiver remaining, and is a big target for quarterback Brian Hoyer. He should be considered among the top fantasy tight ends this season, though obviously Hoyer doesn't instill a lot of confidence. The Browns will not be an offensive juggernaut or anything of the sort, but Cameron will have first dibs on the catches and yards they will have.
