New England Patriots wide receiver Aaron Dobson is expected to make his preseason debut on Thursday against the New York Giants, according to Jeff Howe of the Boston Herald. Dobson has been recovering from surgery following a stress fracture injury and has missed the bulk of the team's practices this offseason. He didn't return to the practice lineup until Aug. 11, but now seems primed to play in his first action on Thursday.
Aaron Dobson expected to make preseason debut; could have fantasy value
Aaron Dobson is finally set to return from his foot injury. We break down the fantasy implications.

Dobson earned one of the starting receiver jobs before sustaining injuries last season. He played in 12 games and caught 37 passes for 519 yards and four touchdowns in his rookie season. Since then, he's been passed on the depth chart by guys like Kenbrell Thompkins and Brandon LaFell.
Fantasy Impact: Anybody set to catch a few passes from Tom Brady is a solid fantasy option, but Dobson has a lot to prove before he's worth looking into. He might be worth grabbing very late just for the possibility that he works his way into a starting role, but that likely won't happen until a few games into the regular season and could even require someone else getting injured. Still, his potential is up there.
