The Seattle Seahawks have been excited about Christine Michael since drafting him in the second round of the 2013 NFL Draft. Michael definitely looked like a rookie last year, and didn't find his way onto the field very often despite the team's excitement. This offseason, he was expected to take the next step and unseat Robert Turbin as the primary backup to Marshawn Lynch. That hasn't happened.
Christine Michael firmly behind Robert Turbin; no fantasy value
Christine Michael was talked about as a potential sleeper a few weeks ago, but now he’s firmly third on Seattle’s depth chart. We break down the fantasy implications.

Pete Carroll has frequently been complimentary of Michael, though it’s all been talk about his potential more than anything. Michael is at a point where he’s making some pretty big fundamental mistakes. He still looks like a rookie, and two fumbles over the first two preseason games definitely hurt his chances, as noted by Jayson Jenks of the Seattle Times.
Fantasy Impact: Unfortunately, Michael’s fumbles and his struggles in general have him firmly behind Turbin on the depth chart. He’ll try again next year, which means his fantasy value is nonexistent for this season. There was talk about him potentially being a breakout player and a fantasy sleeper just a few weeks ago, but none of that went anywhere. If you’ve still got your draft ahead of you, pass on Michael.
