Fantasy Impact: Due to both injuries and being suspended, Holmes has only played a full 16 game season once in the last four years.
When he joined the New York Jets in 2010 after winning the Super Bowl MVP award the previous year, it was expected he would become a top fantasy wide receiver. That simply didn't happen.
In a combined 15 games over the last two seasons, Holmes had just 43 catches and a pair of touchdowns. Those results indicate that his days as a go-to guy are now behind him.
Add to that the fact Holmes will at most be directly behind Brandon Marshall and Alshon Jeffery on quarterback Jay Cutler's list of preferred targets, and fantasy owners should probably just consider him as an occasional flex play at the most.
