Denver Broncos wide receiver Cody Latimer wrapped up a productive preseason, and confidence in his abilities is high for the team and for the fans. Latimer got some playing time against the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday and looked solid once again. He caught three of the five passes thrown his way for 66 yards, including a long of 57 yards.
Cody Latimer wraps up solid preseason, has fantasy value
Cody Latimer looked solid in his first NFL preseason. We break down the fantasy implications.

He had one reception for 17 yards against the Houston Texans and one reception for 33 yards and a touchdown against the San Francisco 49ers. Obviously, those numbers aren't going to blow anybody away, but he's shown some solid athleticism and is physical enough to win jump balls. We recently discussed his potential for red zone dominance, and Jeff Legwold of ESPN says Latimer showed enough to "get some premium work in the offense" this season.
Fantasy Impact: Latimer isn't someone you should start in fantasy football, but you should keep him around as a handcuff to Denver's top receivers, Demaryius Thomas, Emmanuel Sanders and Wes Welker, and you should get him for his potential to do some damage in the red zone. He'll be worth a start when you have important bye week decisions to make, and is worth taking in the late rounds.
