Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce made waves with big catches in the first couple preseason games, and it may have earned him a solid amount of playing time this season. In the team's preseason loss to the Minnesota Vikings on Saturday, Kelce logged 15 snaps with the first-team offense, according to Terez A. Paylor of The Kansas City Star.
Travis Kelce wraps up solid preseason, should have fantasy value this year
Travis Kelce made some big plays and got some time with the starters during the preseason. We break down the fantasy implications.

Kelce managed two receptions for 73 yards and a touchdown in the preseason opener against the Cincinnati Bengals, four receptions for 63 yards and a touchdown against the Carolina Panthers in the second preseason game, four receptions for 49 yards against the Vikings and just one reception for 8 yards against the Green Bay Packers in the team's final preseason game.
Fantasy Impact: It’s worth noting that all of Kelce’s first-team snaps against the Vikings came as the second tight end on the field, behind Anthony Fasano. It’s also worth noting, though, that Kelce took a few snaps from the slot position, and smart money is on the Chiefs finding a way to get him on the field. It wouldn’t be surprising if he eclipsed Fasano at some point and became the starter. He’s a solid TE2 option based on his upside.
