Marquess Wilson’s fantasy status takes hit with fractured clavicle
The second-year receiver is out indefinitely after breaking his clavicle on Monday. We break down the fantasy implications.

Wilson suffered the injury while making a diving catch during practice. He was carted off the field and the Bears quickly confirmed that he had a fractured clavicle. Wilson was making waves in training camp, operating as the No. 3 receiver on Chicago’s depth chart. He spent most of his rookie year in a limited role, recording just two catches for 13 yards in 10 games, but was set to earn more playing time in 2014.
Fantasy impact: Clavicle injuries typically take a month or so to recover from, so Wilson could end up missing some time in the regular season. He’s an intriguing sleeper pick in fantasy circles, but missing the rest of preseason will be a tough blow. Wilson still has a lot of potential and this injury isn’t season-ending, so he could be a valuable waiver pickup in early September.
The Bears don't have a whole lot of depth behind Brandon Marshall and Alshon Jeffery, so those two could end up seeing even more targets with Wilson out. Both players are WR1 locks in what should be another high-octane offense under Marc Trestman.
