Jacksonville Jaguars running back Toby Gerhart was held out of practice on Monday with a hip flexor injury. The injury is not believed to be serious, although Gerhart also missed practice on Friday and sat out the team scrimmage on Saturday. Head coach Gus Bradley wants to be cautious with Gerhart:
Toby Gerhart misses practice with hip flexor injury, fantasy owners should not panic
The Jaguars’ presumed workhorse is sitting out with a hip flexor injury. We break down the fantasy implications.

“That [Gerhart not practicing] is more on our part, with his tightness of his hip flexor,” Bradley said. “It’s more for us, but I know that he said he felt better today than he did the other day.”
Gerhart signed with the Jaguars after spending the last four years with the Minnesota Vikings.
Fantasy impact: Hip flexor injuries can be tricky, but the team doesn’t sound too concerned. At worst, Gerhart might miss Friday’s preseason game, but it shouldn’t affect his status as the team’s new bellcow back.
Gerhart is expected to carry the load as the Jaguars commit to a ball-control offense and slowly break in rookie Blake Bortles. He projects as a solid RB2 and can be had early in the fourth round. Jordan Todman and Denard Robinson are competing for backup duties.
