For as long as he's been in the NFL, Philadelphia Eagles running back LeSean McCoy has been the motor that runs the team's offense. Shady wants to put the whole football world on notice that he plans to run for 2,000 yards this coming season, according to his official Twitter account.
LeSean McCoy aiming for 2,000-yard season
Fantasy owners have officially been put on notice: Philadelphia Eagles running back LeSean McCoy plans to run for 2,000 yards this season. We break down the fantasy implications.

Last season, McCoy ran for 1,607 yards and scored on the ground seven times. He added 539 receiving yards for a total of 2,146 yards from scrimmage. He’s healthy, and while this is hardly the first time we’ve heard a running back make these statements, he’s come awfully close to the mark in recent years.
Fantasy Impact: It’s always good to see a star player come into training camp with a swagger about him, and McCoy certainly has the talent to surpass the 2,000-yard mark. However, a lot of things have to go well for a player in order to reach that plateau. McCoy has to be healthy enough to play a full 16 games, something he did for the first time last season.
McCoy’s fantasy owners can only hope he can repeat that this coming season and add about 400 yards rushing to his 2013 total. Whatever the case, McCoy is possibly the top fantasy player overall this year.
