Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Dwayne Bowe is hoping to bounce back from a sub-par 2013, but expectations might have to be grounded. ESPN's Chiefs blogger Adam Teicher says there is "no indication the Chiefs will get more from [Bowe]" while observing him in training camp.
Dwayne Bowe unlikely to make bigger fantasy impact in 2014
Bowe had a down year in 2013 and there hasn’t been much to suggest things will be different this year. We break down the fantasy implications.

Bowe is still the No. 1 receiver in Kansas City, but he had low numbers by his standards last year, posting 57 receptions for 673 yards and five touchdowns. Both the catches and yards were his lowest total since 2009, when he missed five games due to injury.
Fantasy impact: Those are perfectly acceptable numbers for a WR3, but not what we've come to expect from Bowe, who peaked in 2010 with a 72/1,162/15 line. With most of his production coming from the outside position, Bowe just didn't see many targets from Alex Smith, who prefers to work between the hash marks.
With Smith back for another year, we can probably expect more of the same from Bowe, which is a middling fantasy asset available in the ninth round. Look for Jamaal Charles to be the team's leading receiver again.
