The New England Patriots gave the most concrete update on tight end Rob Gronkowski to date, and it came straight from the horse's mouth. Gronkowski himself said that he'll play in Sunday's season opener against the Miami Dolphins.
Rob Gronkowski cleared for Week 1, ready to rock for fantasy owners
Barring any last-minute setbacks, Gronk will be ready to go for New England’s season opener on Sunday. We break down the fantasy implications.

Nearly nine months removed from a torn ACL and MCL, Gronkowski admitted that he won’t be playing every snap and just wants to get back into the swing of things. He didn’t play in the preseason and was a light participant in training camp, doing mostly 7-on-7 drills.
Fantasy impact: Gronk will probably be limited in practice this week and listed as questionable on the injury report, as per Bill Belichick tradition, but it sounds like he will indeed be ready for Week 1. Even with a limited snap count, he will be a matchup nightmare and red zone target. A healthy Gronk is one of the biggest difference makers in all of fantasy, so feel free to start him this week even if he’s less than 100 percent.
