Wide receiver Percy Harvin is finally healthy, but the Seattle Seahawks still want to be cautious with their star acquisition. Head coach Pete Carroll said that keeping Harvin healthy will be the top priority, while acknowledging his unique skill set.
Seahawks want to keep Percy Harvin healthy; fantasy role shouldn’t diminish
The Seahawks have big plans for Percy Harvin, but keeping him healthy will be the first priority after an injury-plagued 2013. We break down the fantasy implications.

Carroll on Harvin: A unique football player. He's going to have a significant role. ... Will be very important to keep him healthy.
— Tyler Dunne (@TyDunne) September 1, 2014 The Seahawks traded a first-round pick to the Minnesota Vikings for Harvin, but his 2013 season was derailed by injuries. He missed all but one game in the regular season recovering from offseason surgery, and then was knocked out of the Divisional round with a concussion. Harvin proved he was well worth the investment in the end, taking a kickoff return to the house in Super Bowl 48.
Fantasy impact: Harvin is still returning kickoffs this year, and Carroll's comments suggest that his offensive snaps will be limited. Still, when healthy he is a dangerous presence on the field, and can rack up chunks of yards with simple fly sweeps and screens. Keep him in fantasy lineups as your WR3, with the potential to break games wide open on any given week. The Seahawks kick off the season against the Green Bay Packers on Thursday night.
