Seattle Seahawks running back Christine Michael is slow to recovery from injury, and head coach Pete Carroll is uncertain about his status. Carroll said during his Monday press conference that Michael is still "banged up" and the team will "figure it out" later in the week.
Christine Michael still ‘banged up,’ not a fantasy option in Week 1
Christine Michael is battling a hamstring injury and might not be ready for Thursday’s season opener. We break down the fantasy implications.

Michael missed last week's preseason finale with a hamstring injury and is looking doubtful for Seattle's season opener against the Green Bay Packers. A second-round pick out of Texas A&M in 2013, Michael is angling for more playing time in his second season, but remains third on the depth chart behind Marshawn Lynch and Robert Turbin. He was active in just three games last year, rushing for 79 yards on 18 carries.
Fantasy impact: Michael’s fantasy sleeper status was dwindling even before his injury -- he still struggles with pass protection and ball security, areas where Turbin excels at. Add in the fact that he doesn’t play special teams, and Michael could end up being a healthy inactive on game days again.
Michael should eventually realize his monster potential, but so far it doesn’t look like that will happen in 2014. He remains a mere stash in dynasty leagues and Turbin will be the primary handcuff for Lynch owners.
