Jacksonville Jaguars running back Toby Gerhart did not practice on Wednesday due to an ankle sprain. He left the team's Week 1 loss in the first half due to the sprain and was able to return. Gerhart is expected to play against Washington in Week 2.
Toby Gerhart’s ankle injury could limit fantasy value
Toby Gerhart didn’t practice on Wednesday. We break down the fantasy implications.

There was always going to be some concern about the back’s durability. He hasn’t carried the ball more than 15 times in a game since the 2011 season, and he has only two games in his career with 20 carries. The Jaguars didn’t do much to help running back depth this offseason, which means Gerhart will be receiving 20 touches on a regular basis -- if his health allows it.
Fantasy impact: The team has said all along that it is going to limit Gerhart this week in practice, and this shouldn't alarm fantasy owners just yet. As long as he's active at practice on Friday, he should be viewed as a solid RB2 against a soft Washington run defense. There is no need to handcuff Jordan Todman or Denard Robinson here.
