Arizona Cardinals running back Andre Ellington did not practice on Wednesday. The team is expected to rest him for the foreseeable future in order to keep his foot as healthy as possible. He is expected to play against the New York Giants on Sunday.
Andre Ellington should be ready for Week 2 in fantasy
Andre Ellington did not practice on Wednesday. We break down the fantasy implications.

There were rumors of Ellington missing over a month due to his injury, but he dispelled that talk with his Monday Night Football performance of 53 rushing yards on 13 carries and five catches for 27 yards in a start. The second-year back admitted he wasn’t 100 percent for the contest, but it’s also believed he can’t make the injury worse by playing on it.
As long as he gets some practice in at some point leading up to Sunday, Ellington should see a featured role against a weak Giants defense. Coach Bruce Arians has previously said that his undersized back will be the focal point of the offense.
Fantasy impact: Ellington’s fantasy owners dodged a bullet last week and now they can plug him into their lineups. He does hold some in-game injury risk, but the upside is too high to keep him on the bench in almost any league.
