Arizona Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians said on Wednesday that New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning is struggling to learn the new offense this season.
Fantasy owners may have to wait for Eli Manning to learn new offense
Eli Manning is still be learning the new offensive system. We break down the fantasy implications.

"I don't think there's any doubt," Arians said. "It's very hard for somebody to change after they've been in a system. I did this with Carson Palmer last year. He'd been in the same system pretty much nine years and he has ideas and you're trying to reprogram. It's easier getting a rookie and brainwashing him than it is to take a veteran and change him totally into a new system."
The Giants have looked abysmal on offense, totaling just 197 yards in the Week 1 loss to the Detroit Lions. They're also 0-6 including the preseason games and have rarely been in rhythm. New offensive coordinator Ben McAdoo has been running a West Coast scheme, which usually results in a higher completion percentage and fewer sacks. Manning was sacked a career-high 39 times last season while he also posted his lowest completion percentage since 2007 and his worst passer rating since his rookie season.
Fantasy impact: If you're an owner of Victor Cruz or Rueben Randle, you're probably not happy right now. It might take some time before the Giants get their passing attack off the ground, so owners may have to sit tight. Although, if you can get 80-90 cents on the dollar for Cruz, it might make sense to make a deal. Randle has immense upside for his red-zone presence, so he shouldn't be cut loose unless it's for a stud like Carolina Panthers receiver Kelvin Benjamin or Pittsburgh Steelers wideout Markus Wheaton. Fantasy owners probably shouldn't have high hopes against the Cardinals in Week 2.
