Wheaton made his first start in Week 1 and acquitted himself well, playing a key part in the Steelers’ win. We break down the fantasy implications.

Wheaton was targeted seven times, and turned those into six receptions for 97 yards. His biggest plays came late in the fourth quarter, when he grabbed two receptions on the final drive to set up the game-winning field goal.
Fantasy impact: Wheaton showed off the speed and deep-field threat that made him a coveted prospect out of Oregon State. The Steelers face the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday night and top cornerback Lardarius Webb is listed as questionable. That leaves more potential targets available for Wheaton with Jimmy Smith expected to occupy Brown. For now, he can be considered a WR4 in fantasy, with WR3 potential down the road. Wheaton is still a slight gamble at this stage of the season.
