Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Torrey Smith was ticketed for a big role in new offensive coordinator Gary Kubiak's offense. Playing in the same "X" receiver role that made Andre Johnson a target monster in Houston, Smith was expected to have a career year in 2014.
Fantasy football start/sit advice, Week 2: Torrey Smith
Torrey Smith had a quiet start to the season, disappointing fantasy owners in Week 1. They shouldn’t give up on him just yet.

That hasn't quite materialized yet, at least not in Week 1. Smith finished with just three catches for 50 yards against the Cincinnati Bengals. Moreover, he was targeted only seven times despite Joe Flacco dialing up 62 passing attempts. Steve Smith and Dennis Pitta saw 15 targets each while Flacco went into checkdown mode, throwing for just 5.56 yards per attempt.
Fantasy impact: It was a disappointing effort for fantasy owners, but given that it's only Week, it's best not to panic. The Ravens will probably keep going to the air with the running game a major question mark, and Smith should eventually get his numbers. He's a worthy WR3 start against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Thursday night. Don't give up on Smith yet.
