Arizona Cardinals running back Andre Ellington continues to get regular rest for his foot injury, being held out of practice Thursday. He's not expected to miss Sunday's Week 2 game against the New York Giants.
Andre Ellington remains viable fantasy starter despite foot injury
The Cardinals are taking it easy on Andre Ellington’s bum foot, giving him another day off practice. But he should be ready for Week 2. We break down the fantasy implications.

Ellington first suffered the injury in practice last week and was a question mark all the way up to Monday night's season opener. He got the green light during pregame warmups and played a fairly decent role in Arizona's comeback win over the San Diego Chargers. Ellington ended up with 80 total yards on 18 touches, playing on 36-of-70 offensive snaps. Backup Jonathan Dwyer played 24 snaps and saw just nine touches, going for 28 total yards.
Fantasy impact: Look for Ellington to get a limited practice Friday and a possible “questionable” designation on the injury report, but all signs point towards him suiting up again. His Week 1 usage suggests that the Cardinals’ offense will continue to feature him, and he should be a reliable flex play this week. Dwyer can be dropped back to the waiver wire once Ellington gets closer to 100 percent.
