Cleveland Browns receiver Josh Gordon is expected to be suspended for eight games, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. This coincides with a FOX Sports report of Gordon having his suspension reduced to eight games, and the announcement could come as soon as Friday.
Josh Gordon’s suspension status looks to keep fantasy owners waiting
Josh Gordon’s suspension is expected to be reduced to eight games. We break down the fantasy implications.

The NFL is changing their drug policy and players such as Gordon and Denver Broncos receiver Wes Welker are expected to have their suspensions reduced. While Gordon does have a previous drug suspension on his record, the new policy will adjust his 2013 issue to just an eight-game suspension and not the full season suspension which was handed down last month.
Fantasy impact: The most obvious impact here is that Gordon has to be owned in all leagues. The Browns do have a bye week in those eight games, so that means we won't be seeing Gordon on the field until Week 10. What's more, it's going to take him a while to get on the same page as quarterback Johnny Manziel, who figures to be starting by that time. Still, he was last season's best receiver and will be a high-end WR2 at worst -- assuming he doesn't do anything else to get himself in trouble.
