Colts running backs Trent Richardson and Ahmad Bradshaw are expected to share an "equal load," according to Richardson. The two will both be active against the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday Night Football.
Trent Richardson and Ahmad Bradshaw may split fantasy value
Trent Richardson and Ahmad Bradshaw are expected to split carries this season. We break down the fantasy value.

Based on Week 1, they probably shouldn’t even do that. Bradshaw was on the field for almost 20 percent more snaps than Richardson and he also had a much better yards-per-touch average. Even beyond the box score, Bradshaw was much more explosive than Richardson, and was very effective in the screen game. Quarterback Andrew Luck will be the focal point of the offense and he seemed to be at his best while Bradshaw was on the field. Needless to say, the Colts are probably regretting giving up a first-round pick for Richardson last year. He averaged just 2.9 yards per carry and hasn’t shown any burst since the Colts acquired him.
Fantasy impact: As long as Bradshaw is healthy, Richardson is not going to have much fantasy value. If there is a promising back out there on the wire, the University of Alabama star isn’t a must-own player. Meanwhile, Bradshaw could emerge as a solid flex play in PPR leagues and should be owned in most leagues considering he’s the more talented of the two.
