Fantasy football sleepers, Week 2: Wide Receivers

Still searching for wide receivers? Here are a few names that could help you win in Week 2.

Joe Sargent

If you’re looking for a few sneaky plays to one-up your opponents in Week 2, here are a few sleeper wide receivers that could help you do so. We focus on young under-the-radar guys, but there are veterans who can still come out of nowhere to impress.

Allen Hurns

It's hard to qualify Hurns as a sleeper following his breakout performance in Week 1, but with the recent injury setbacks for both Marqise Lee and Cecil Shorts, it now appears the Jacksonville rookie is in line to be their number one receiver. And outside of one costly blown assignment, the Washington defense really wasn't all that bad. But with the foreseeable absence of Lee, that leaves 10 targets from last week that will go elsewhere. Another big day from Hurns seems inevitable.

Reggie Wayne

He may have torn his ACL last season, but Wayne showed no signs of a lingering injury Sunday night. Furthermore, his 13 targets in Week 1 were the fourth-most in the league, and that's counting the 11 targets thrown in the direction of T.Y. Hilton. Wayne is the clear favorite among Colts receivers and should thrive against a Philadelphia defense that just allowed over 300 yards to Jacksonville.

Kendall Wright

Here's some math for you: Justin Hunter + Kendall Wright + Nate Washington - Justin Hunter + the Cowboys defense = I don't know, 15 points? 20? Well, whatever the case, just know it's a lot.

Malcom Floyd

He may have a tough matchup, but Floyd should shine in a week where Keenan Allen will be too occupied fighting off Richard Sherman. Against Seattle, the Packers ignored Sherman altogether and threw at Byron Maxwell 11 times. He, in turn, allowed nine receptions for 79 yards. You could do much worse than to flex Floyd this week.

Andrew Hawkins

With no signs of Jordan Cameron playing, Hawkins takes over as the lead receiver in Cleveland. But even with Cameron playing, Hawkins collected twice as many targets (10) as the standout tight end. He's already nearing must-play territory in PPR, but against the Saints defense...outdoors...ON GRASS...the sky's the limit for Hawkins this week.
