Washington tight end Jordan Reed has been officially ruled out for Sunday's game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. His hamstring injury popped up in Week 1 and he did not practice this past week. Reed is expected to miss multiple weeks with the injury.
Niles Paul could have low-end fantasy value with Jordan Reed ruled out
Jordan Reed has been officially ruled out. We break down the fantasy implications.

Backup NIles Paul will get the start and may be a bigger part of the offense. The Jaguars will likely blitz quarterback Robert Griffin III throughout the game, which means short routes to Paul could be there. Plus, Jaguars safety Jonathan Cyprien is not going to play. He is their best defense back and may have covered Paul on passing downs.
Fantasy impact: It depends on league depth, but fantasy owners may want to hold on to Reed. He's had a lot of buzz at camp and is a great red-zone threat with undersized receivers DeSean Jackson and Pierre Garcon as the top two options outside. Paul serves as a desperation TE2 with limited upside.
