Washington quarterback Robert Griffin III left Sunday's game against the Jacksonville Jaguars early in the first quarter after suffering a non-contact left ankle injury. He was put in an air cast on the sidelines and carted off the field.

The Washington quarterback only played 10 offensive plays before his injury. We break down the fantasy implications.


Rich Eisen of the NFL Network reported the injury was a dislocated ankle. Griffin was replaced by backup quarterback Kirk Cousins for the remainder of the game, which Washington eventually won 41-10.
Fantasy impact: If it is in fact a dislocated ankle for Griffin, that translates what would likely be an extended absence for the third-year quarterback. A dislocated ankle could easily mean the end of the season for Griffin, who has also battled knee injuries through his career.
Washington also lost wide receiver DeSean Jackson to what was being called a bruised shoulder. Despite the huge win, not all is well for the football team in the nation's capital, who have an division game against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 3.
