Niles Paul excels in fill-in role for fantasy owners
The Washington tight end wasn’t expected to be a big factor this season, but has had a pair of productive games so far. We break down the fantasy implications.

Paul caught four passes for 86 yards in Week 1, then came back with eight catches for those 99 yards Sunday. His touchdown came on a 2-yard pass from backup quarterback Kirk Cousins early in the fourth quarter.
Fantasy impact: Paul’s eight catches, 99 yards and 11 targets all led Washington in Sunday’s blowout win. He has easily been the team’s top pass catcher so far in the season.
At this point, even if/when Reed is healthy and ready to go, Paul will have to remain part of the Washington game plan. He might not be a must-start tight end, but he at least needs to be watched.
