Running back Reggie Bush, ostensibly the Detroit Lions' No. 1 option, was quiet Sunday, with No. 2 running back Joique Bell doing much more damage. The two running backs couldn't break through as the Lions lost to the Carolina Panthers 24-7.
Joique Bell outproduces Reggie Bush for Lions, fantasy owners
The Lions’ theoretical No. 2 running back outgained the No. 1 in rushing and receiving yards Sunday. We break down the fantasy implications.

Bush ran the ball six times for 26 yards, adding two receptions for six more. Bell, meanwhile, had only 36 rushing yards on 10 carries, but did have 61 receiving yards on six receptions.
Fantasy impact: Bell’s stock has been rising since last season, and it could easily be argued he’s superior to Bush already as a rusher. It is perhaps more surprising how much more involved Bell was in the team’s passing game than Bush, as Bell was targeted 11 times to only three for Bush.
Bush will have his moments in the weeks to come, and Bell did lose a fumble in Sunday’s game, but going forward, the two have to be seen as virtually equal fantasy options.
