Philip Rivers overcame the stout Seattle Seahawks defense on Sunday. Rivers completed 28 of 37 pass attempts for 284 yards and three touchdowns. Rivers connected with tight end Antonio Gates for all three scores. Even though Gates handled every score, Rivers distributed the ball well. Gates, Eddie Royal, and Keenan Allen each had five or more receptions. Even with a weak ground game on Sunday, Rivers was able to capitalize in the passing game. Even though Seattle seems to struggle on the road, Rivers overcame a team that held Aaron Rodgers to 189 yards and one touchdown in Week 1.
