Antonio Gates proved once again that he deserves to be atop the Chargers depth chart. The 34-year old tight end caught every one of his seven targets for 96 yards and three touchdowns. Gates may be on the tail end of his career, and he may be beyond his prime, but the veteran showed that he still has complete trust from his quarterback. Gates is still excellent at positioning himself for possession in his route running, and he's still tough for defenses to bring down when he has the ball in his hands. He and Rivers were largely responsible for San Diego's win over the Seattle Seahawks in Week 2.

Fantasy impact: It's hard to know how much gas Gates has left in the tank, but he proved we shouldn't worry about it too much for now.
