Ryan Mathews went into the fourth quarter of Sunday's game with 11 carries for 31 yards and two receptions for 26 yards. Within minutes of the fourth quarter, Mathews was on a cart headed to the locker room. Mathews will be getting an MRI, but it appears to be an MCL sprain. The official diagnosis is not yet official.
Ryan Mathews leaves Sunday’s game with leg injury, fantasy owners turn to Donald Brown
Ryan Mathews was carted off the field on Sunday. We take a look at the fantasy implications.

Fantasy impact: Even if it's a sprain, it's an unfortunate development for Mathews, who participated in all 16 games during 2013 after being widely considered an injury-prone running back. An MCL sprain could take Mathews out of action for at least a month. As we wait on official word with Mathews, fantasy owners will want to scoop up Donald Brown, who is next in line on the depth chart. Brown may not offer a lot of upside, as we saw during his days in Indianapolis, but he'll see a good quantity of touches provided he can secure the job during Mathew's absence.
