Ridley accounted for over 30 percent of the Patriots offensive yardage on Sunday. He rushed for 101 yards on 25 carries and a touchdown. Vereen finished with 40 yards on six carries and caught one pass for no gain. The game was controlled by the New England Patriots after the first quarter. The Patriots relied on their power running game as a result.

Fantasy impact: Ridley reminded fantasy owners that the Patriots backfield is far from predictable. While Vereen may be the more consistent contributor, Ridley is due for a heavy workload from time to time. His performance shouldn't downgrade Vereen's value. Fantasy owners should be aware of Ridley's presence every week. Ridley is due for some more work against the Oakland Raiders in Week 3. Vereen will maintain his RB2 status with PPR upside. Ridley figures to be a flex option as the Patriots should be in control of the game against the Raiders.
