Arizona Cardinals quarterback Carson Palmer has a nerve issue in his throwing shoulder, and he isn't entirely certain when he will be back. Head coach Bruce Arians expressed the same sentiments in his Monday press conference, saying that he's concerned about the shoulder but hopes it's only a minor injury.
Cardinals still concerned about Carson Palmer’s shoulder, fantasy value is slipping
Carson Palmer has a bruised nerve on his shoulder and the Cardinals aren’t sure when he will return. We break down the fantasy implications.

Palmer suffered a bruised nerve in his Week 1 win over the San Diego Chargers. He was limited in practice all week and ended up being a last-minute scratch against the New York Giants. Backup Drew Stanton got the start, throwing for 167 yards on 14-of-29 passing.
Fantasy impact: Everything appears to be up in the air right now. We probably won’t know more about Palmer’s Week 3 status until the Cardinals return to practice on Wednesday. He’s a borderline QB1 when healthy, but fantasy owners shouldn’t assume he’ll be 100 percent this week and should look for a backup plan. Stanton was mostly ineffective and the Cardinals won in spite of him. He’s only a desperate play in two-quarterback leagues.
