When you complete 31 passes for 448 yards and three touchdowns with no interceptions, it's difficult to go anywhere but down. That's exactly what Atlanta Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan did in Week 2 against the Cincinnati Bengals, but he went far beyond a regression to the mean. Ryan completed 24 of 44 passes for a comparatively small 231 yards and one touchdown, but the big difference was three interceptions in the 24-10 loss.
Fantasy football start/sit advice, Week 3: Matt Ryan
Matt Ryan struggled a bit in Week 2, but he’s as obvious a start as anyone in Week 3 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. We break down the fantasy implications.

The Falcons are, however, still in possession of the top-ranked passing offense in the league through two weeks. Ryan will get a very solid opportunity to build on that under the bright lights of "Thursday Night Football" against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 3. In this NFC South matchup, the Falcons are obviously favored and Ryan seems poised for a big game.
Thursday's game won't be an easy matchup by any means, as the Buccaneers are square in the middle of the league when it comes to pass defense, allowing 220.5 passing yards on average over two games. Then again, the quarterbacks they've faced are Derek Anderson and Austin Davis.
Fantasy Impact: Anderson threw for 230 yards with two touchdowns and zeo interceptions against the Buccaneers, while Davis completed 22 of 29 passes for 235 yards. Both quarterbacks are game-managers and both managed that game well -- to wins. Ryan is a player who wins games on his own and fantasy owners should start him with the expectation that he has a big game in prime time.
