Steven Jackson led the Atlanta Falcons backfield with 14 carries for 54 yards and a touchdown on Thursday night against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He would have touched the ball more if the game had been competitive, but the Falcons held a 56-0 lead in the third quarter and ultimately pulled their starters.
Steven Jackson has best fantasy showing of 2014 in Week 3
Jackson fought his way into the end zone for his first touchdown of the season Thursday night. We break down the fantasy implications.

Jackson’s 2-yard score was his first touchdown of the season. It didn’t come easy, as he fought with a second and third effort to surge forward into the end zone.
Fantasy impact: In a game where anything and everything went Atlanta’s way, Jackson still managed to finish with a 3.9 yard-per-carry average. He made some nice runs early on in the game. Jackson wasn’t involved at all in the passing game.
The Falcons take on the Minnesota Vikings next in Week 4. The Vikings are a middle-of-the-road run defense team, but Jackson is still splitting time with several other running backs in his backfield. He's flex-worthy.
