Hester first scored on a 20-yard run in the second quarter as he took the handoff from Matt Ryan and blew past the defense on the edge. His second touchdown was a 62-yard punt return, which gave him 20 combined punt and kick return scores for his career, breaking the record Deion Sanders previously held.
Fantasy impact: Thursday was quite a night for the renowned return man. An emotional Hester was clearly excited about his performance in Week 3 on the sidelines. He only caught one pass for 25 yards, but the return touchdown overshadowed everything else.
Hester is a bit too volatile to warrant owning in most leagues. He finished Week 2 with just a single catch for two yards. He’s been a different player at home, though. But Hester makes more of a real-life impact than he ever will for fantasy owners.
