It’s not easy to play with turf toe for a receiver. Green will have to deal with pain as he makes cuts and stops on his routes and as a ball carrier. He will likely have to deal with this throughout the season and there will almost always be some form of in-game injury risk for the former Pro Bowl receiver.
Still, Green is one of the best receivers in the NFL and looked great in Week 1 with 131 yards and one score against the Baltimore Ravens. He ranked fifth in the NFL in receiving yards last season, eighth in TD catches and sixth in receptions.
Fantasy impact: Even with the risk, Green owners should still put him in their lineup. The Titans have some weak, undersized corners, so he could be in for a big game. If you’re looking to deal him due to the risk, you should be asking for a top-10 receiver or a top-15 running back in return.
