Carolina Panthers running back DeAngelo Williams was at practice on Friday. He missed Week 2 against the Detroit Lions due to soreness in his thigh from an apparent injury at a Wednesday practice last week. Williams is expected to play against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday Night Football.
DeAngelo Williams looks ready for Week 3 return in fantasy
DeAngelo Williams was at practice on Friday. We break down the fantasy implications.

The Panthers have allowed quarterback Cam Newton to throw the ball more with his 34 attempts in Week 2 despite an easy win over the Lions. What's more, their running game will almost certainly be a committee approach and it may be Jonathan Stewart as the lead dog until Williams is back to 100 percent.
Fantasy impact: As long as Williams and Stewart are both active, neither are going to be fantasy options in most cases. Newton is also an option for goal-line carries, which severely limits the upside of both backs. Williams can remain on the waiver wire in 10-team leagues and is just a low-upside stash in deeper formats.
