Carolina Panthers receiver Jerricho Cotchery did not practice on Friday due to a thigh injury. He was added to the injury report on Thursday and his status is in doubt for Week 3 against his former team, the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Jerricho Cotchery’s injury could boost fantasy values of Greg Olsen and Kelvin Benjamin
Jerricho Cotchery could miss Week 3 against the Steelers. We break down the fantasy implications.

He has four catches in each of his two games with the Panthers so far this season, totaling 78 yards in the team's two wins. Cotchery operates in the slot for the Panthers, so the team could look to tight end Greg Olsen and receiver Kelvin Benjamin a little more, especially in the red zone.
Fantasy impact: While fantasy owners are certainly not counting on Cotchery, his potential absence could add some stats to Olsen and Benjamin. The Steelers have routinely been able to stop the run, so there’s a good chance the Panthers’ game plan will rest on quarterback Cam Newton’s right arm. Olsen is a solid TE1 and Benjamin is a risk-reward WR2 in his third start as a pro.
